While Rob and I were cleaning off our cars, this guy was trying to show off. Its about the only time this guy could possibly find this vehicle useful

With how many miles I drive, usually 15k a year - gas in that would run me nearly $434.78 a month. If we assume the H2 is paid off, fuel is still cheaper than most automotive payments and I'd sure as heck drive this than a new wimpy car that costs $800+ a month in payments.

I own a hummer and it kills in any condition. On a snow day I’ll go around and pick my friends up because the roads are completely shut (I live in Seattle and we rarely get 2 feet of snow, only a few select vehicles and drivers know how to get through it.) it’s so fun and makes such a great snow car

When I bought my Hummer, I wasn't worried about gas. The way I look at it, if you can't afford to drive it, don't buy it, I get around 10 MPG and love every minute of it.

Everyone's been watching this guy for two blocks. "look at it", want to take a picture of it", "oh my gawd", "look at that", "America!", "Yeah!", "Whoo!", then the little man with small D energy shovelling out his Corolla enviously watches the Hummer drive and wishes one day he could be a man.
I hate how GM and people call this truck a Hummer 🙄🫣. The so called Hummer H2 was a civilian SUV built by General Motors, using the same 3/4 ton frame and drivetrain as the Chevrolet Tahoe. The H2 is basically a Tahoe with a front locker🤷. The H1 has portal axles, which also have a gear reduction at the portal box, at the end of each axle. This allows the differential to be smaller in size gaining ground clearance while yielding an axle that is just as strong as a larger straight axle. The portal gears see half the load as the differential gears, and the gear reduction that is usually gained means less gear reduction is needed upstream. This is a huge difference, besides the 40 other things that makes the H1 way more capable than the H2. If someone was driving an H1 down this road it would literally just idle down it, without one bit of struggle, never mind having to take a second or third run at the snow pack just drive 🤷.
This is wrong about the H2, the H2 rear frame is the only thing that resemble a Tahoe, the rest of the frame is specially made for it. The H2 also comes stock with 35s, and lower gearing. The H1 is of course going to be better offroad then the H2 due to its lower gearing and higher ground clearance, but go on a 500 mile trip on the highway and tell me how it goes between an H1 and H2, the H2 isn't as bad as you're trying to make it out as.
